We are excited to announce this year’s date for the Harvest of Hope Festival. Please join us September 21st at Old Spanish Trail Park! We will be hosting food eating contests, hay ride, petting zoo, vendors, and several family friendly games and activities!

Skateboarders of the View, get ready! Our skate tournament kicks off at 10:00 am, Saturday, September 28, 2024. Service Dog and Combat Vet Dart Tournament will be held at the American Legion in Crestview on James Lee Blvd. This is a Steel Tip Blind Draw Dart Tournament (you draw a number for your partner) and benefits Service Dog and Combat Veterans organizations. Entry fee is $20, plus a 50/50 drawing and raffle prizes. (Half the entry fee will go for prize money and the other half for the organizations.

Members only Halloween Planetscarium is October 3rd with shows at 5, 6 and 7pm. Come dressed in Halloween costumes and prepare to be scared! We’ll teach you about our favorite scary space facts in a terrifying tour of the solar system. Learn which planet is home to the Labyrinth of Night, why Pluto is named after the underworld, and which monster from Greek mythology was the scariest – do you think it’s Medusa, the Minotaur, the Hydra, or the Chimera? Recommended for ages 5+. Space is limited to 25 guests per show; reserving tickets in advance is required for this reason. Sip & Science: Fright Night is October 19th from 6pm-9pm. Stop in for a spell and have a blast. We’ll have a spooky scavenger hunt that will take you all over the grounds of our haunted museum, a Slime Station where you can make your own ghastly concoctions, even a Mad Lab where you can guess what our Mad Scientists have cooked up and hidden in each box, if you dare. Monkey brains? Or simply spaghetti? You won’t know unless you dive in with both hands…for those feeling a little squeamish, you can stop by the sciPad and play Halloween trivia or head to the museum gallery to paint your own mini pumpkin to display at home. Don’t forget to don a costume for your chance to win our costume contest, complete with prizes!
Early bird pricing: Members $25 Nonmembers $30. Day of pricing: Members $30 Nonmembers $35. Ticket price includes admission, access to regular and special museum exhibits, drink tickets for adult beverages (beer and a specialty cocktail), and food. Planetarium Special Feature: Spooky Secrets, is October 29th with shows at 5, 6 and 7pm. Come dressed in Halloween costumes, get your Trick-or-Treat candy, and prepare to be scared! We’re ready to celebrate Halloween under the night sky in our inflatable planetarium. Join us for a fun and scary night of monster stories, inspired by our planets, moons, and stars. Join our 5 p.m. or 6 p.m. show for family-friendly stories about the creepy creatures of mythology hidden in the night sky. These showings are appropriate for ages 5 and up. Our 7 p.m. Spooktacular Show is more appropriate for ages 8 and up as the tales told during this show are spookier. All shows last approximately 45 minutes.

The 36th Annual Thunderbird Intertribal Powwow is November 1st, 2nd & 3rd at at the Twin Oaks Park, Corner of FL Highway 85N & College Boulevard, Niceville Florida. Spend the day with craft makers, singers, dancers, flute players, storytellers, and exhibits.
