Alan Jackson has launched a five-day initiative to aid the Hurricane Harvey Recovery Fund. Beginning today (Aug. 31) and running through Sept. 4, Alanâs downtown Nashville honky-tonk and restaurant, AJâs Good Time Bar, will donate $1 for every item sold to the Hurricane Harvey Recovery Fund administered through The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee.
âIâve toured a lot over the years in east Texas, played the Houston Rodeo 23 times and I hate to see whatâs happening down there,â says Alan. âItâs tough to watch. I canât imagine what my fans and all the people of Texas are goinâ through. I hope this allows folks in Nashville to feel like they can do a little something to help.â
The four-level building on Nashvilleâs Lower Broadway boasts more than 6,000-square-feet of good timinâ fun, including a honky-tonk on the first floor, a man cave on the second floor, a fishing-themed third level (the bar is a replica of AJâs Hullbilly boat from his â5 Oâclock Somewhereâ video) and a rooftop bar. The venue also sports wall-to-wall memorabilia from throughout Alanâs career, televisions for watching the big games, stages for live performances and a karaoke bar.
